Happy Shavuot 5769-2009
Dear Beth El,
Shalom. At sundown tonight, Erev Shavuot begins!
Holiday of the first fruits: an always-relevant lesson.
Bring to G-d what you have, regardless of its size or stage of development.
L-rd, we all bring to you RIGHT NOW what we are and what we have.
Help us to "be faithful in little" so we may be faithful in much,
Help us to be thankful for sufficiency, so we may be thankful for abundance.
Help us to "go now in this, your present strength and begin to deliver Israel (Judg. 6:14)," so we may later go in greater strength and bring greater things to our people.
We are who we are now, not later.
We have what we have now, not later.
Later is later, as Yeshua taught us: "it is not for you to know exact times and seasons the Father has fixed by his own authority, but you shall remain in the City until you are endued with power for On High, and then you shall be my witnesses in Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Shalom and Hag Sameakh to all.
In all seasons - Kadimah!
